Southgate Street

What does this picture say? (Click to enlarge and see the far bottles.)

Florrie's mum's newly repaired drain, for which I can take absolutely no credit,

and the BFP picture she suggested, but which happily will not appear.

Stella Artois?

It's a new type of doorstep delivery, maybe the local milkman is diversifying...or have the council started the kerbside bottle collection already?

Glad to know that my intoxicated photo of alcohol-free pints of milk inspired the Southgate photo ;-)

Paul-I think this lovely photo deserves front page on the BFP! It shows the human side of the council. Florrie was away for the week-end or she would have made her presence known to Mrs F on this side of the road. We were indulging in a much-needed break at The Hoste Arms in Burnham Market, doggies welcome, food delicious, and fabulous deserted beaches for walking within easy reach. So the first thing I do on getting home is blog to se what I have missed!

I think that pic says Ruby would rather live at the house that gets Stella delivered to the doorstep, and not the one with orange milk :-D

Right first time David!

21stCM, I'm sorry its not a kerbside collection. SEBC are leaders in recycling but not re glass.

FM, you must be joking!

Ruby, I am afraid these empties were still there last night, so I don't think its a daily delivery. When I find out which day the beerman delivers I'll be ready to pounce.

I've just started to receive fresh milk from a local dairy this week. I have a pint of Gold Top every other day to pour on my cornflakes.

Their website is www.moojuicedairy.co.uk

It tastes like milk used to taste. They will also deliver 'Helions Bumpstead Fresh Farm Eggs' from £1.30 a dozen for medium up to £2 for free range.
