Democracy in action

I am delighted to report that following the borough council's Licensing & Regulatory committee's unanimous and cross-party decision to back the Special Area Policy, the cabinet last night recommended to Council that this should be re-adopted. This followed fifty letters or emails from local people and the strong support of the Churchgate Area Association, and shows that democracy still works sometimes!
