Not a pretty sight!

Not surprisingly I have received complaints about this. Although I have today asked the SEBC waste management section to act, I wonder whether they are 'allowed' to clear litter from private property? If so I am confident something will be done. Watch this space...

A word to the Public Health department may help. At 6am market days 2 ducks are using this as an overnight stopover - proceeding to spend the rest of the day begging for food scraps from veg stall holders and tourists eating their fish & chips. Market manager tells me that SEBC cannot clean because it isn't their property - what an excuse! ValL

On the subject of keeping the streets clean, well done on sticking your head above the parapet in the BFP last week by reminding people that it is within their power to clean away the weeds & litter from outside their own homes. Community spirit means sometimes lifting one’s own finger, rather than expecting the Council to do everything.
