Kevin Hind, Lab 624
Allan Jones, Lib Dems 625
David Nettleton, Ind 1,846
Richard Rout, Con 1,726
Daniel Warren, Lib Dems 641
Kevin Waterson, Lab 645
Whilst I am delighted to have been elected again to the county council, I am very disappointed that Richard Rout, who was the driving force behind our campaign, was not successful. I have no doubt that, had there not been a swing to independent and minority party candidates as a result of the national feeling against politicians, Richard would have been successful. He certainly deserved to be.
