For myself I think that bollards (rising or otherwise) at half the price would have been the more attractive option. How much do we have to pay per week for a man to open and close the gates?
I like rising bollards purely for entertainment value. There are many funny clips on ***tube of cars getting stuck on them. These gates are definitely 'Buryish', and look nice now (in the photto anyway). I just hope they weather better than the ones near St Mary's Church have.
