Here is the initial plan for the enhancement of Kings Road, including one way vehicular traffic, a contraflow cycle lane, and much needed pavement widening on the south (Waitrose) side. This will particularly please residents of 3-5, who currently almost step out into the road from their front doorstep. It will be a great improvement upon the current temporary arrangement:

Significantly, there is no proposal to widen the pavement near the nightclub on the corner. Pedestrians will still need to step into the road.
A better plan would be to try the Shared Space concept in Kings Road. Otherwise, I fear that the limited space will be too 'busy' and lead to an unsatisfactory outcome.
