Where am I?

This unique view shows the cathedral tower, the sugar beet factory and the Greene King chimney next to each other.

Where is it taken from?

Beech Rise overlooking Grindle Gardens.

Is it from the roof of your house??

No to both - sorry.

Do we really care? Is anyone really interested in this guessing game? Do you not have better things to do with your time?

Cheer up anon. Some people may be interested in this geographical topic. I make time to keep this website up to date and varied, but of course you don't have to view it.

Did you enjoy the last song?

Anonymous - If this blog is so beneath you, why don't you go somewhere else where you are actually happy and stop being so blinking miserable about everything.

PM -exactly! The 'clever bit' of the photo is to get the Greene King chimney in the middle of the 3 landmarks when it is the most southerly. This indicates a vantage point to the south of the town and on high ground. The Fort on Sicklemere Road is a possiblity but I don't know the area so can't say for certain if the houses nearby look like those in the photo. The top of Rembrant Way is also quite high but the angle appears too tight.

If Paul has taken the photo from inside the Southgate ward, I will tell the Liberals. They will throw the book at him: look what happened when Stefan Oliver admitted to knowing the whereabouts of Jarman Close.

On second thoughts, Paul may have taken the photo from a bedroom window in Jarman Close. However, there is sign that his hands are shaking so I think we can rule that one out!

Is it Vinery Road/Hardwick Lane area? Am I the only one playing this game. I am quite enjoying it!!

PM - you are getting warm...David can shop me to the Southgate members. (And I'm terrified...)

Caie Walk?

Paul - I missed out the word 'no' in front of sign. I'm shocked by your apparent confession that you have trespassed into enemy territory. I will be scanning the Mercury for a letter naming and shaming you.

Barons Road between Canterbury Green and Runnymede Green.

I will have to snitch on you to Bradbury's Dad & Lord Charles.

Aren't they one in the same David? Anyway, about time too. As I was explaining to PM this morning, you only have to get a map and draw a line in which all three landmarks meet, and it has to be Hardwick Lane (houses too high to see view) or Barons Road.

I said Hardwick Lane back on Tuesday!!

...and I said you were getting warm - perhaps I should have said "very warm". Sorry!

PM - not precise enough. I stood on the actual spot this morning.

Hhhmmm? Very warm/correct, what's the difference! It was BOILING!
