Haverhill - our other town

This morning I attended the opening of the refurbished Jubilee Walk in St Edmundsbury's other town, Haverhill. There was plenty of ribbon and cake cutting! Here John Griffiths, Council Leader opens the proceedings:

With Cllr Mrs Marion Rushbrook, and the memorial plaque to her late husband Cllr Geoff Rushbrook.

Somewhat precariously placed with Owen the cat's owner and Owen's new statue.

At last we get to eat it! John, Marion and Deputy Haverhill Mayor Cllr Les Ager.

Is the lady wearing black and white skirt in Pic no.5 doing the can can? Probably just my imagination then :)

This is all very interesting I'm sure but I think you'll find the public are more interested in another number on the pianoforte?
