The end of years of waiting really is in sight for those residents of Kings Road (East) who have wanted residents' parking. From June 4th they will be able to park anywhere in Zone H, and if they are lucky enough to find a space there will be a bay of up to five cars length right outside their own houses. As I write this the lines are being painted. Another reason for celebration on Jubilee weekend.
For some the picture below will be yet another...click to enlarge, and see if you can make out the gold lettering behind the top of the pillars and what looks like a chandelier inside the hallway. Also note the side panels.
While not in use it all looks quite tasteful. Those living close by are no doubt hoping the celebrations on June 4th and thereafter are neither too late nor too loud.
