Apex - 'no relevance to Bury whatsoever'?

The final apex is the one inside the roof of The Apex, which is yet to be revealed.

Yet another secret then !
a secret apex paid for with rate payers money and known only to the few. When will this council learn that they need to be more transparent when spending our money.

Sorry Rose. I think I needed to make the apex.

Stop being paranoid BB. I've seen computer images of the inside (which I think have been published too, eg in BFP) but haven't seen it for myself - not least because the inside is full of scaffold and being fitted out.

Surely even you can't draw such a negative conclusion from the simple facts. Is that your only response to the obvious point my post was making - which perhaps you found uncomfortable?

Better to have stayed silent.

No Paul IT IS NEVER RIGHT TO STAY SILENT, if you feel it needs to be said then say it, this after all is a free country, people died to deliver us rights of free speech.

Little bit sore about something are we Paul !.

To be honest your point was a little lost on me, I could not tell if you were in favour of the name apex, or trying to justify it. The comment about yet another council secret,( and no I dont recall seeing it in the BFP) just annoyed me, There is a lack of transpancy with our council which needs to be tackled, I for one will continue to raise my voice when I see waste, secrecy and poor communication where our rate payers money is concerned. There has been far to much "smoke" around the cattle market development over these years.

It just seemed to me that you were using this "secret" known to the council, and those ewho have access to the site to justify the name, and that some thing "special" existed within the building, some thing we as rate payers did not "understand" and that we should be pleased that others did. Of course I may be wrong, but based on local comments on blogs else where and letters published in the EADT I see I am not entirly alone in my views.

Whoops - sorry for the strong wording BB, but believe me there is no secret. I just haven't had the inside of the building 'revealed' to ME.

Did you see it on Look East today Bury Boy? There really does seem to be an apex in The Apex!

The more I look at the "Apex" picture the more I see a resemblance to the old cattle market buildings.

I have not seen the look east article, but did track down a computer generated image of the apex, this same image seems to have found its way into the BFP also, Sorry but its not setting me on fire, let alone any thing else. It looks like a "modern" barn, with the wooden cross beams replaced by metal rods and bolts, it reminds me of some thing but I cant recall what. maybe I will wait for some "actual" photographs, that is if one is allowed on "private land" to take them that is. Interesting then that the only "public" access to the new apex is via "private land" gone is the public right of way from the cattle market, and a public square for a public building.

see article re photography in BFP and the official response citing the cattlemarket developement as private land.

Thanks BB. Maybe it reminds you of the Suffolk vernacular? There certainly seems to be an apex there.
