Southgate corridor improvements continue...

UPDATE 29th Jan: Although this picture does not really do it justice, these works are more complex than the first part. Here the bend is also being 'tightened', but the pavement is being widened too.

A resident rang me up today, very appreciative of the work that had been and was being done, but thought there should also be SLOW signs before and between the two bends. There is an argument that these should not now be necessary and are anyway frequently ignored - which is exactly why these physical impediments to speed have to be constructed .

Perhaps we should wait and see how effective the present efforts will be...
