Special Licensing Policy for Historic Core

I am delighted to report that fellow Abbeygate Councillor Richard Rout and I have succeeded in our proposal for a Special Area Licensing Policy for the area within Abbeygate, Crown, Westgate and Guildhall Streets. This is subject to full council approval next month. You can find out more about the policy here. In short it takes the onus from objectors to applicants in proving whether or not any application will add to the cumulative impact in the area.
