Domestic invasion

A pair of ducks is currently touring our area to find a nesting place. Charming though it would be to see our garden pond full of ducklings Mrs F is extremely averse to the idea, for various reasons, and has given me clear instructions to shoo away the prospective parents. Just before I did, I snapped this peaceful scene.

Unfortunately the full sized Heron which also visited today stayed too briefly for me to get a snap of the magnificent creature - huge!

And PH thinks my life's already exciting!

It just keeps getting more and more so!

A pair of ducks, Mr and Mrs Duck as they were imaginatively known, took up residence in our pond last spring. The mess aside they were pleasant guests. They left at much the same time as Rufus arrived.

It's the 'mess' that Mrs F most fears!

I think they're gorgeous creatures and delightful guests. You should keep them.I would be honored if they had chosen my pond. Maybe if you offer to clear up their mess, Mrs F will let you have them??

Florrie likes chasing ducks, for a small consideration she can visit.
