I saw them in there and very tatty it was too. I think there was a similar thing happen at Starbucks last year.
I reckon they say the East Anglian Daily Times and Bury Free Press this morning and did a runner.
Surprised you missed it being a councillor in the town - they were in there since Saturday morning.
Why am I not surprised that someone is having a go at me whilst hiding behind anonymity?
Today was the first time I have had a chance to wander around the shops since last Saturday. I had 18 hours of meetings on Mon-Thur and many hours at my desk: ask Mrs F.
I was informed about the issue on Thursday (same as EADT?) and immediately spoke to the relevant cabinet member and corporate director to ensure that the Council had done all it could.
Being "a councillor in the town" does not involve wandering around the centre of town looking at shops and chatting to folk - at least not for this councillor.
What a shame...Were you after a new watch!!
