Lining the street

Churchgate Street's junctions' road lining have finally been "refreshed" (or in the case of this one with Whiting Street, completely rewritten from scratch!) which among others will please the owner of the Hide Bar: he has been complaining about the danger of people going the wrong way down the street for some time. Today I saw a car blithely emerging into Crown Street from the bottom end.

Glad you managed to get the lines re-marked Paul. It’s a pity the white lining crew did not have time to do the residents parking area lines at the cemetery end of Kings Road. Perhaps two big jobs in one day would have been too much to ask, especially as the scheme has supposed to have been working for five weeks. I have heard that apparently they did turn up one Saturday morning and could not do any work because some naughty people had parked their cars there.

I'm sorry about this Don. I shall keep chasing. Please let me know the position in a week's time, in case I don't get a chance to check for myself.

Hi Paul
Just after I sent my comment, the white line men arrived. They have done most of the lines and I assume that the rest will be completed when the blocking parked cars have moved. Thanks for your response. Remove my comments from the blog if you wish.
